The Penang Diocesan Lenten Campaign is held annually in the Diocese of Penang
throughout the season of Lent.

The first purpose of the campaign is to raise funds for the ministries of POHD,
parish human development projects and also to support other organized groups
in the Diocese of Penang who are helping the minority poor.

The second purpose is to educate Christians in the Diocese of Penang to a new
knowledge of today's problems and the need to respond according to the
Catholic Social Teaching.

The campaign is spearheaded by the Penang Diocesan Lenten Campaign Committee, with the assistance of the Parish Human Development Committee and
executed by a group of trained parishioners known as the Love Squad.

Collection

The collection is held annually on every weekend throughout
the season of Lent in all the parishes in the Diocese of Penang.

1. Join the Love Squad in your parish

2. Explain PDLC to the members of your parish and
    urge them to give generously

3. Ensure the promotion materials and envelopes are distributed

4. Organize awareness talks in your parish and invite representatives
    to speak about the Catholic Social Justice
