Operations/collection centre - Individual volunteers and also USM students came to help. 10:00pm New Year’s Eve/Memorial mass for all Tsunami victims: - Theme: “Into your hands we commend your people, O Lord”
A candle was lighted for every Malaysian victim as Rev. Fabian read out the names, a candle was also lighted for every country affected by the tsunami disaster.

Thursday, 30th December 2004
8am – 5pm Venue: Tj Bungah – Kampung Nelayan - More cleaning – continued cleaning 2 houses from the day before and 4 more new houses - Y.B. Dato Toh Kin Woon, Penang State Executive Councillor visits site and talks to the residents.

Venue: Penang Diocesan Centre - POHD sets up an operations / collection centre on the ground floor – clothes, food, drinking water for tsunami victims. - Volunteers start coming in to help sort the clothes donated according to gender, children and Indian clothing especially for Sri Lanka.

8am – 5pm Venue: Tj Bungah – Kampung Nelayan (Fisherman Village) - Fantastic response! Approximately 30 volunteers comprising individuals, staff of POHD, CMO and some members of SWYF help to clean about 4 houses which were filled with sludge and caos!

Monday, 27th December 2004
Rev. Fabian made ground assessment at Tanjung Bungah area, Penang. He identified a few homes/families that needs help cleaning. SOS text messages and phone calls were made to staff who were all still on Christmas leave as well as friends.
