Training on Education for Non-Discrimination

The Heritage Hotel, Ipoh
38 participants comprising the Central Perak PHDC members,
namely Taiping Catholic Church, Church of St. Michael (SMC),
Our Lady of Lourdes (OLOL), Our Mother of Perpetual Help (OMPH) Ipoh
and Church of St. Joseph, Batu Gajah,
Perak Women for Women, Persatuan Guru Tadika Taiping
and the Ipoh Buddhist Dhamnea Association attended
this training at the Heritage Hotel on November 17th and 18th.
The objectives of this workshop, jointly organised by POHD together with
Pusat Komunikasi Masyarakat (KOMAS) are to
raise awareness on the effects of discriminations of race and other
related discrimination amongst the general public and to
provide an education tool for local community workers, leaders &
grassroots communities to racist and discriminatory policies and
practices that exist and have been implemented.
