Gathering of Volunteers
"Black & White 50's"

This year, the gathering was held at the Rainforest Café, Church of St Michael, Ipoh on November 30th.
The theme was Black & White Fabulous 50’s and I’m glad to say that almost everyone dressed according to the theme.
Rev Fabian Dicom was gracious to celebrate the mass followed by a special candle lighting ceremony in appreciation of the volunteers.
All lights in the hall were switched off creating a total dark atmosphere which represented the darkness of the world. All volunteers were given a specially designed tea-light candle to light up the hall again, signifying their presence as volunteers help to light up the darkness of the world.
The volunteers comprising of mostly the PHDC members and Love Squad members were from the parishes of SMC, OMPH, OLOL, St. Joseph’s Batu Gajah and even Taiping Catholic Chruch.
Programme for the night included games & a special dance performance by the staff of Penang Office forHuman Development, Penang Diocesan Youth Network, Campus Mnistry Office & Penang Diocesan Pastoral Office.
