The Penang Office for Human Development is a social service organization set up
in 2000 under the Catholic Church of the Diocese of Penang. It was established as
an expression of the Catholic Social Teaching, which stems from the teachings of
Christ in the Gospel, with the main intentions of responding to the needs of the poor, needy and marginalized, and promoting justice and peace in the Diocese of Penang.
Our Ministries
Weekly prayer sessions for Justice and Peace in Perak & Malaysia
Venue: Our Lady’s Shrine, St. Michael’s Church, Ipoh
The sessions are held every Tuesday at 8pm.
The prayer sessions will continue until democracy is restored in our state.

ABOLISH ISA!
Because every person was created by God in His image and likeness
(Gen1: 26-28) as well as redeemed by the most precious blood of Christ,
any violation of the personal dignity of the human being cries out
in vengeance to God.
The Internal Security Act (ISA) gives total power to the Minister of
Home Affairs to arrest anyone without permission from any opponent
including the court and detain that person for up to 60 days without
any trial. A detainee of ISA has no right to defend herself/himself on court.
Therefore, ISA violates the dignity of every human person.
